With a degree in finance from Oklahoma State University, Tom Bass spent the first twenty years of his career managing his family’s home furnishings business. Under his direction, the operation grew from a single retail store into a regional chain of Ethan Allen Showcase stores in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. During that time he also developed a chain of delicatessens and a group of office furniture outlets in Dallas, Houston and Austin Texas. His entrepreneurial spirit and extensive experience in start-up ventures and small business management and growth led him to continue his professional development into the arena of tax specialization. Tom passed the Enrolled Agents’ exam at the top of his class, and is licensed in all fifty states by the Federal government to represent taxpayers before the IRS in all administrative matters. As a result of his continuing education, he has qualified as a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute. Less than 1800 individuals have achieved this status. He is considered an expert in helping small business and home-based business owners learn to maximize legitimate tax benefits so they not only make more, but keep more of what they make. In 1990 Rhonda and Tom founded Accountable Solutions integrating their diverse experience to offer full service accounting, payroll, tax preparation, IRS representation, workshops and keynote presentations to help entrepreneurs run their businesses like a business so it will pay them like a business.
